WEATHER STATION 3

I put on my tightest old jeans before recording this one, which is why I sound a little young. Metal is my business, and business is good! You can't see me, but I'm making those little devil horns as I write this.

Warning: I sing on this podcast. I know I promised I wouldn't do that anymore, but this is old stuff, so it doesn't count.

We spoil the hell out of Lost this week, folks. This podcast is meant for people who have watched the finale; if you haven't, save it for later.

Anyway, this is the Lost podcast that has been suggested by a few listeners, with special guest Sarah visiting the Weather Station to talk about the season finale, the show itself and what's to come next year, when the whole thing wraps up. If you aren't a fan of Lost, you can jump to the 30-minute mark for a new Foreigner's Guide to Canada.

This whole episode is devoted to an exploration of "imaginary friendship." And some great guests are along for the ride. First, Rick and Karen from Starbase 66 join me to talk about how the Starbase launched and how people who've never actually met can be such great friends. Karen shares the details of a recent face-to-face with another of our Web friends, and then my globetrotting pal Chris P. Bacon calls from Australia to add to the fun.

If I have to go to the city and shop at a huge mall on a Saturday afternoon, I'm going to get some podcasting done.

Please forgive me as I go off on a bit of a rant today. I was in that kind of mood. But if you can put up with my negativity for a while, you'll get to hear the first Imaginary Friends segment, featuring my lovely lady. I like the part where she kind of scolds me.

Weather Station 3 hits episode 20, just in time for a talk about how human rights have been corrupted in the pursuit of political correctness. This week's special guest star is Rachel the Robot. Also, tune in for the premiere of a new segment, A Foreigner's Guide to Canada.

This is episode 19 of Weather Station 3, but it's the first here at Libsyn and the first in our new format. I've remixed the theme music and improved overall sound quality.
Weather Station 3 began life as a news commentary podcast, but slowly devolved to the point that my last episode, still available at www.clickcaster.com/weatherstation3, was all about me eating cheeseburgers. But it's back to basics today with this new episode, as I tackle the headlines and get steamin' mad at Fox News.
Also, Big Bad Hair returns as part of the main show. The earlier episodes remain at bigbadhair.podbean.com, but from here on in, Big Bad Hair will be one of a few rotating background features I plan to feature here.
